',VHEREA$, the City Commission of the City of Bremerton by resolution
dated June 5, 1937, directed the sale of the property hereinafter described,
to Ralph I. Baselt and wife for the stun of $395.00 on terms, and the property
intended to be described in said resolution was not fully and completely
described, and the City Con.mission deems it desirable to amend the said
resolution,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said resolution be ~nd the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"~EREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for
general taxes on
Part of Tract 1~, EcTeighs Garden Tracts, beginning at the Northwest
corner of Tract 14, thence S 100 feet, thence East 000 feet more or
less, thence Southwesterly 00 feet more or less, thence ~.~est 4?5 feet
more or less, thence North $0 feet to beginning, except 40 ft strip
deeded to the City of Bremerton for street purposes, including $0 ft
by 50 ft strip adjoining Shore Avenue as set forth in County Treasurer's
Deed dated 5/19/37, situated in the County of Kitsap, State of
Washington
~nd the said property w~s struck off to the said Kitsap County at the
tax foreclosure sale; and that at the time of such foreclosure sale,
there were delinouent assessments against the said property payable
to different local improvement districts in the City of Bremerton,
and the City of Bremerton did pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereon
as by law provided and now has a Treasurer's Deed to said property,
and the said City of Bremerton is desirous of selling sa~d property
to pay the taxes and delinquent assessments assessed against the said
real property,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED BY THE CITY C0~SSIOM OF THE CITY OF
BR~ERTON, That the ~ayor and the City Clerk thereof, be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to sell said above described
property to Ralph I. Baselt and Olive Baselt, his wife, for the total
purchase price of ~$Z95.00, and for that purpose to enter into a
contract with the said Ralph I. Basalt and wife, ~ar said sale in
the name of the City of Bremerton; the said contract to provide for
a cash payment of $75.00, and the balance in the sum of $ZE0.00
payable in monthly installments of $10.00 per month with interest
at 7~ per annum, payable at the time said installments are paid;
the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay the taxes
and assessments hereinafter levied, and to provide that time be the
essence of the contract, with forfeiture of moneys paid in the
event that purchase price is not paid within the time provided
therein, and also to execute a deed in the name of the City of
Bremerton in favor of Ralph I. Baselt and Olive Baselt, his wife,
the said deed to be retained by the City Clerk until the full purch-
ase price is paid together with interest thereon, and to be delivered
to said purchasers at such time as the said purchase price and
interest is paid in full.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage nunc pro tunc to be of full force
and effect as of the 5th day of June, 193~, this ?th day of February, 19~0.
