WHEREAS, THE ANNEXATION OF 256 acres to the City of Bremerton, the
past year in addition to new streets and avenues being opened up and
under construction to be maintained by the City Street Department in
addition to mileage formerly maintained; that ~he purchase of three
trucks to replace worn out trucks was necessary to properly service
all streets and avenues of all classifications within the corporate
limits of the City of Bremerton, and
WHEREAS, THE GR0~ff/ of the City has made it necessary to increase
the number of men in the City Street Department with an increased
budget for salaries and wages out of funds received from taxes,
THAT, it will be necessary to receive assistance from some other
source other than taxes in order to purchase said trucks.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Commission of the City of Bremerton,
hereby makes application requesting the State Highway Department for
funds in the amount of Thirty-three hundred and ninety-two dollars
($$39E.00). to be granted from the State Gas Tax Funds allocated to
the City of Bremerton, to be used on the purchase of this equipment
as herein set out.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Commission. signed by two of the
three City Commissioners, and attested by the City Clerk in authenti-
cation of such passage, this 23rd day of July, 1941.
