WHEREAS, Charles Lewis, Chief of Police of the City of Bremerton, is a
member of the U. S. Naval Reserve and has been called to active duty in the
U. S. Navy as a Boatswain's mate, first class,
NOW .THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton
that Charles Lewis is a regular city employee of the City of Bremerton within
the purview of Ordinance Mo. 1337 of the City of ~remerton, and is entitled to
reinstatement on the Police Department upon being released from soch active d~ty
in good standing and upon reporting for duty within ninety (90) days after his
discharge from active duty in an able bodied condition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Commission of the City of Bremerton
heartily commends Charles Lewis for the fine service he has rendered to the City'
of Bremerton as its Chief of Pollce.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this llth day
of June, 1941.
