ORDINANCE NO. 71
'.,VHEREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general taxes
on the following described real property, to-wit, Lots 4 and 5, Block l, First Addition
to Charleston, Kitsap County, Washington, and the said property was struck off to the
said Kitsap County at the tax foreclosure sale, there were delinquent assessments
against the said property payable to different local improvement districts in the City
of Bremerton, and the City of Bremerton did pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereeo as
by law provided and has now a Treasurer's Deed to the said property, and the said City
of Bremerton is desirous of selling said property to pay the taxes and delin~uent
assessmenls assessed against the said real property,
N0',V THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton,
that the Eayor and City Clerk thereof, be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to sell said above described real property to Emil Msfli and Hilda E. ~lafli, his wife,
for the total purchase price of Two Hundred Twenty ($220.00) Dollars and for that
purpose to enter into a contract with the said Emil i,~afli and Hilda ~. Eafii, his wife,
for said sale in the name of the City of Bremerton, the said contract to provide for a
cash payment of $45.00, and the balance in the sum of $175.00, payable in monthly
installments of $5.00, plus interest at seven per cent per snnum, ~aysble at the time
said installments are paid, the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay
the taxes and assessments hereafter levied, and provide that time be the essence of
the contract, with forfeiture of moneys 'paid, in the event that the purchase price is
not paid within the time provided therein, and also to execute a deed in the name of
the City of Bremerton in favor of Emil Eaf].i and Hilda ~. ~afli, his wife, the said
deed to be retained by the City Clerk until the full purchase price is palS, together
with interest thereon, and to be delivered to said purchaser at such time as the said
purchase price and interest are paid in full.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~ayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage on the 7th day of ~ay,1941.
