~{~REAS, the City of Bremerton contracted to sell the following described real
property to ;gilliam Scott on the 8th day of May, 1937, pursuant to resolution:
Lots 6, 7 and 8, Block 1, First Addition to Charleston, Kitsap County,
~ashington,
under the terms of a contract of conditional sale which provided for the payment of
$200.00 in installments and which provided for forefeiture in the event the said
purchaser failed to make the monthly payments recuired to be made under the terms of
said contract,
AND ~HEREAS, no payments whatsoever have been made on the said contract since
the year 1937, and the said William Scott was notified on December 26, 1940, by
registered mail, forwarded to said ~illiam Scott by the City Treasurer that the said
contract would be cancelled unless arrangements were immediately made for the pay-
ment of the amount due,
AND ~VHEREAS the said contract was written off the books of the City of Bremerton
and cancelled as of February 28, 1941,
N0~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Commission of the City of Bremerton
that the said contract by and between the City of Bremerton as seller, and William
Scott as purchaser, be and the same is hereby officially cancelled of record and the
said real property is hereby declared to be free and clear of any lien, claim or
encumbrance, on account of said contract, and any and all interest which the said
William Scott may have had in said property is hereby declared to be fully cancelled
and said real property is hereby declared to be available for sale.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~ayor, and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 30th day of April,
1941.
