IN MEMORIAM
It is with sorrow that we record the death of Mr. A. L. Croxton, First Mayor of
Bremerton.
He served this City as Mayor from October, 1901, until January 12, 1904. The
members of the City Commission, and citizens generally of the City of Bremerton,
Washington, desire to pay a tribute of respect to his memory and to express apprecia-
tion of his many fine qualities; by his energy and integrity he won the respect of all
right thinking citizens; by the services rendered to the City in its beginnings he
laid the foundation for what is now a beautiful City.
In the days when leaders were scarce he served our City faithfully and well and
was ever ready with counsel and advice; he was industrious, capable and conscientious
in all his undertakings.
We deeply regret his passing and tender to his widow and family our sincere
sympathy.
Signed on behalf of the City of Bremerton, Washington, this 23rd day of April,
1941.
