BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, that due to past, and
expected future, growth of the City of Bremerton, and the consequent increase in the police
force of the City of Bremerton, there is an urgent necessity for, and there are hereby
created, two additional positions as sergeant on the Bremerton Police force, said positions
to be filled by appointment after competitive examinations, and the salaries for such
sergeants shall be $160.00 per month.
B~ IT FbRTHER RESOLVED that the funds for payment of the additional amount necessary to
meet the said salary increases, will be available under the amount budgeted for salaries
during the year 1941, on account of savings already made and which will be made in the
future, by the payment of part of the salary of Sergeant Gary Mason by the State, on account
of his injuries in line of duty.

by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 23rd day of April, 1941.
