due to the natural growth of the City and due to the national defense emergency and ss a
result there has been a great and unprecedented increase in new construction in the City
of Bremerton and in the territory immediately adjacent to the city limits, ~nd
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bremerton deems it advisable that a
Commission, to be known as the "Parks and Playgrounds Commission," be eppointed for the
purpose of making a survey and report of all matters relating to parks and playgrounds
and for the purpose of making recommendations to the City Commission of the City of
Bremerton regarding all matters relating to parks and playgrounds in the City of Bremerton,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C0~ISSION OF THE CITY OF ,BRE~'~RTON that
there be and is hereby set up and established a park and playgrounds comunission in the
City of Bremerton, which shall consist of five citizens who shall be appointed by the
Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Commission, which commission shall be and is
hereby empowered and authorized to make an investigation into all matters relating to
parks and playgrounds in the City of Bremerton and to report and make recommendations to
the City Commission from time to time in relation to such matters.
