%5~EREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general
taxes on Lots 9, l0 and ll, Block 7, First Addition to Charleston, Kitsap County,
Washington, and the said property was struck off to the said Kitsap County at
the tax foreclosure sale; and that at the time of such foreclosure sale, there
were delinquent assessments against the said property payable to different local
improvement districts in the City of Charleston prior to its consolidation with
the City of Bremerton, and the City of Bremerton did pay to Kitsap County the
taxes thereon as by law provided and now has a Treasurer's Deed to the said
property; and the said City of Bremerton is desirous of selling said property to
pay the taxes and delineuent assessments assessed against said property, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOL~D by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton that the
~yor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
sell said above described property to V. P. Adams, a married man, for the total
purchase price of Two Thousand and no/looths ($2000.00) Dollars, and for that
purpose to enter into a contract with the said V. P. Adams for said ssle in the
hame of the City of Bremerton, the said contract to provide for cash payment of
Four Hundred ($400.00) Dollars, and the balance of $1600.00 to be paid as
follows: The sum of $25.00 per month, together with interest at the rate of
seven per cent per 8nnum until the balance is paid in full; the said contract to
provide that the purchaser shall pay the taxes and assessments hereafter levied,
and to provide that time be the essence of the contract, with forfeiture of
moneys paid in the event that purchase price is not paid within the time provided
therein, and also to execute a deed in the name of the City of Bremerten in favor
of V. P..Adams, a married man, the said deed to be retained by the City Clerk
~ntil the full purchase price is paid, together with interest thereon, 8nd to be
delivered to said purchaser at such time as the said purchase price and interest
shall have been paid in full.
PKSSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~ayor,
and attested by the City Clerk, in authentication of such passage, this 13th day
of February, 1941.
