Home My WebLink About010-10- RESOLUTION NO. 10 ~HEREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general taxes on Lots 4 and 5, Block 2, First Addition to Charleston, Kitsap County, State of Washington, and the said property was struck off to the said Kitsap County at the said tax foreclosure sale; and that at the time of such foreclosure sale, there were delinquent assessments against the said property payable to different local improvement districts in the City of Charleston, prior to its consolidation with the City of Bremerton; and the City of Bremerton did pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereon as by law provided and now has a Treasurer's deed to said property; and the said City of Bremerton is desirous of selling said property to pay the taxes and delinquent assessments assessed against said property, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sell said above described property to William Tenneson, a bachelor, for the total purchase price of Two Hundred Twenty and no/100ths ($220.00) Dollars, and for that purpose to enter into a contract with the said William Tenneson, a bachelor, for said sale in the name of the City of Bremerton, the said contract to provide for a cash payment of Forty-four ($44.00) Dollars, and the balance of $176.00 payable in monthly install- ments of $5.00 per month, together with interest at seven per cent per annum, payable at the time said installments are paid; the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay the taxes and assessments hereafter levied and to provide that time be the essence of the contract, with for- feiture of moneys paid in the event that the purchase price is not paid within the time provided therein, and also to execute a deed in the name of the City of Bremerton in favor of William Tenneson, a bachelor, the said deed to be retained by the ~ity Clerk until the full purchase price is paid, together with interest thereon, and to be delivered to said purchaser at such time as the said purchase price and interest are paid in full.
