WHERE/~$, the City of Bremerton purchased Lots 22 and 23, Joseph Daly's
Garden Tracts; and Lots 4 and 5, the East half of Lot 3, and the East half of
the South 40 feet of Lot 2, Supplemental Plat of Bayview Garden Tracts, Kitsap
County, Washington, for the purpose of construction thereon of an incinerator
for the disposal of garbage and rubbish, and
~.~£q-EREAS, the City of Bremerton had filed an application to the United
States Government for a ffederal Grant to assist in the cost of building such
incinerator, and
WHERE;kS, the Federal Go,vernment did not grant to the City of Bremerton
the amotmt of Funds which would have been necessary in order to enable the
city to finance the building of such an incinerator, and the Government's offer
of a smaller susa than at,plied for has been rejected by the City Commission,
and the City Commission is purchasing other property for the purpose of con-
tinuing to dispose of garbage and rubbish by means of a sanitary fill and does
not need the property hereinabove described, and E. B. Lent, Theodore Blomberg
and H. D. Lent, have offered to purchase the said real property from the City
of Bremerton for Ten Thousand (.~10,000.00) Dollars, which is more than the city
paid For the same, and the City Conumisslon considers the same to be a fair
price and that it is to the best interests of the City of Bremerton to accept
the said offer and to proceed to sell the said property,
NOW ~IEREFORE BE IT ~ESOLVED that the City ~ttorney be and he is hereby
instructed to prepare a resolution for the sale of the real property herein-
before described, subject however to a sewer easement over a pert of said
?roperty, to E. B. Lent, Theodore Blomberg and H. D. Lent, for the cash purchase
price of $10,000.00
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the
~.,~ayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this
31st day of December, 1941.
