?,U~E~EAS, the City of Bremerton filed an application with the Federal government for a
grant for the purpose of building a hospital, and the City Commission has been informed that
a hosFital is to be built in Bremerton on real property to be donated for that pur[,ose by the
City oF Bremertcn, by the Federal. government, end that $470,000.00 has been allocated for
that purpose, and
'~[EREAS, the s~id hospital is to be conducted as a semi-charitable hospital a~ the City
is ~a such financial condition that it could not contribute toward the operation oF such hos-
pital, now therefore,
BE IT ~IESOI.,VED BY TiiE CITY CO~[IS'.~ION OF TIlE CITY OF BRi~.iE!{TON that the County o~ Kitsap
be and is hereby requested to assume s[:onsorshtp of the ~'ederal hospit~l to be built [r~ th.e
City of i~remerton, and that the City o£ Bremerton hereby relinquishes sponsorship oF the seid
t~ospital in Favor o~ the County of Kitsap, for the reason that the County Co~issfoners have
imev'iously orally indicated to the City Co,missY. on that the County of Kftsap will accept sa_id
st~onsorshi[: and will act in collaboration with the i~'ederal government in all matters pertain-
in~ to the construction and operation of such hospital.

by the city clerk i~ authentication of such passage, this 19th day of I~ovember 194.1.
