Home My WebLink About149 RESOLUTION NO. 149 '.~EREAS, the County of Kitsap, 8tare of Washington, foreclosed for general taxes on the following described real property, to-wit, Lot 5, Block 5, 1st Addition to Charleston, except East 10 feet t~ereof, Kitsap County, Washington, and the said property was struck off to the said Kitsap County at the tax foreclosure sale, there were delinquent assessment against the said property payable to different local improvement districts in the City of Bremerton, and the City of Bremerton ~id pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereon as by law provided and has now a Treasurer's Deed to the said property, and the said City of Btam- erton is desirous of selling said property to pay the taxes and delinquent assessments assessed against the said real property, NOW T~REFORE, BS IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, that the ~ayor and City Clerk thereof, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sell said above described real property to A. C. Ruggles and Isabella Antic Ruggles, his wife, for the total purchase price of Two Hundred Twenty ($220.00) Dollars and for that purpose to enter into a contract with the said A. C. Ruggles and Isabella Angle Ruggles, his wife, for said sale in the n~T~e of the CAty of Bremerton, the said contract to provide for a cash payment of $45.00, and the balance in the sum of $175.00, payable in monthly insta- llments of $5.00, plus interest at seven per cent per annum, payable at the time said installments are paid, the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay the taxes and assessments hereafter levied, and provide that time be the essence of the contract, with forfeiture of moneys paid, in the event that the purchase price is not paid within the time provided therein, and also to execute a deed in the name of the City of Bremerton in favor of a. C. Ruggles and Isabella Antic Ruggles, his wife, the said deed to be ~etaine by the City Clerk until the full purchase price is paid, together with interest thereon, and to be delivered to said purchaser at such time as the said purchase price and interest are paid in full. PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Neyor and attest by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage on the 22nd day of October 1941. Mayor ATTEST:
