~'~m~A~, the ~'ederal Works ~gency, Defense ~"ubllc Works Division, has in-
Formed the City of Bremerton by letter signed by L. R. Durkee, Regional Drt-
ector, that the United States Government has by the terms of an offer dated
October 7, 1941, offered to make a Grant in the sum of $150,000.00 to the City
of Bremerton in order to aid in financing constFuctton of Defense Public Works,
consisting of a Bremerton Recreational ~utlding, hereinafter referred to as the
"l:roject'' is known as Docket 45~15~, Recreation Center, and
"~E!!iEAS, the City Commission of the City of Bremerton passed a resolution
at its regular meeting on October lS, 1941, accepting said offer, and the
Housing Authority of the City of Bremerton has indicated its wlllin~ness to act
as attorney in fsct and agent of the Oity of BremertOn in connection with the
construction of said i:roject,
I'iOW THE~EFO!i~E, BE IT qE$OLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Brem-
erton that the ~lousing Authority of the City oF Bremerton is hereby ap?oiuted
~ent and attorney in fact for the City of Bremerton, to represent the City of
Bre~erton in relat'[on to the said Project and to do everything 'in relation to
the said Project that the City of Bremerton could do by its regularly constituted
authorities, including the right to employ architects, sign con~.racts, take
charge of. the work, collect ~:onies from the Federal Government, and to pay out
the same, and in general to do anything and everything that the City of Brem-
erton mi:jht or could do in the premises.
':E IT ?U:~THE-~ ~OLVED, that the i...~ayor and 'City Clerk of the City of Brem-
erton be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute a warrant,
drawn on the Current Expense ~'und of the ctty of Bremerton, in favor of the
Housing ~uthority' of th~ City of Bremerton, as a loan to the Housin~ Authority
of the City of Bremerton, the same to be used b.v the said Ho~sing Authority, for
the purpose of defraying initial expenses which will be incurred in connection
with the said project, same to be repaid to the City without interest as soon as
the said Housing Authority shall receive ~unds from the Government in connection
with the said i:roject.
PASSED, by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~:iayor,
and attested by the City Cler~ in authentication of such passage, this 15th day
of October,.19~l.
