~ilEi{E~S, thc City of Bremerton, a municipal corporation, hes leased from the Port of
Bremerton, a municips1 corporation, the hereinafter described property; and,
.TFE{E.=S, the Bremerton Terminal Company has made application to the City of 3remerton
for a lease on the hereinafter described real property for the purpose of construc~ing a
landinE slip for the landin~ of ferries at said point, in conjuctton with their present
terminal facilities; and,
~'i{E~I~LiS, a b~ational Emergency exists requiring further and additional landing facilities
~'~0~,'~~, I'~{ER',~O~E, BE, AND IT HEREBY IS, RESOLVED:
That the City of Bremerton, a t~unicipal corporation, lease ~to the Bremerton T~rminal
Company, t~ cort~o~ation, the followin.~ described real property, to-wit:
~:art oF Bremerton Tidelands and shown as ".'{aterway" on the "supplemental i~ap of
Bremerton Tidelands" as filed in the office of the Co~issioner of Publi~ Lands
in Olympia, December 1~, 191~. Said waterway tract lying between the inner and
cute, harbor lines and abutting the southwest boundary line of Public Place No.
1 off said Flat and more particularly described as follows:
"Be.zinnin~ at the most seutherly point of aforesaid Public Place No. 1, ~ald point
b~ng on outer harbor line; thence North 4b°O0'O0'' Wes~ along gouthwe~terly: bo~ndary
of Publi~ Place No. 1 a distance of S~.00 feet; thence south 4~° West 6D.O0 feet;
thence South S0°4~'46'' East Z4~.616 feet to point on outer harbor line; thence
North 45°00'00'' East to the point of beginning."
for s term commencing on the 1st day of October, 1941, ~til and including the SOth day of
ikpril, 1962, at the annual rental of ~gO0.O0 per ann~, payable ~117.00 on the 1st day of
October, 1941, $~00.00 on the 1st of I~iay, l~4a, and ~gO0.O0 on the 1st day of 2,ay each year
thereafter during the term of the lease.
Said lc' se to be subject to all of the covenants end stipulations set forth in the
lease ~rom the State of ?lashin~ton to the Port of Bremerton; subject to all the covenants in
the lease ffrom the t-~ort of Sremerton to the City oF Bremerton.
iT I~ FL~T[!E~ [~ZSOLVZD that the 1,1ayo~ and City Clerk of the City of Bremerton are hereby
directed to execute and sign a ~'ormal lease to the aaid Bremerton Terminal Company as here-
in s~t ?orth; and,
IT !:$.~U:tTHEt i~]SOLVED that an emergency exists, and that it is to the public welfare
and interest, and psrticularly to the interests of the hational Emergency that this ~{e-
solution become effective immediately; and the said Co~m:issioners of the City of Bremerton
do hereby declare an emer~ency to exist and do hereby declare and resolve theft this Re-
solution become effective im~mediately.
