~IEREAS, the Federal Works Agency, Defense Public Works Division, has informed the
City of Bremerton by letter signed by L. R. Durkee, Regional Director, that the U. 8.
Government has by the terms of an Offer dated September 22, 1941, offered to make a
Grant i.n the sum of ~90,274.00 to the City of Bremerton in order to aid in financing
the construction of defense public woPks consisting of an addition to the Pacific
Avenue Fire Station and a fire alarm system, including necessary equipment and the
acquisition of necessary land hereinafter referred to as the "Project", which Project
is known as Docket No. Wash. 45-125.2, Fire Station, City of Bremerton, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bremerton did at its regular meeting
on September 24, 1941, pass a motion appointing the Housing ~lthority of the City of
Bremerton as its agent to represent the City and to do all things that the City might
do as the representative of the City of Bremerton in connection with the matter of
said ]~roject, and did pass a resolution at its regular meeting October l, 1941, accept-
ing said Offer, now therefore,
B~{ IT 'RESOLVED by the City Con~ission of the City of Bremerton that the motion
passed at the regular meeting of the City Commission on 2eptember 24th, 1951, herein-
above referred to, be and the same is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved, and
the ~!ousing Authority of the City of Bremerton is hereby appointed agent and attorney
in fact for the City of Bremerton, to represent the City of Bremerton and to do every-
thing in relation to the said Project that the City of Bremerton could do by its
regularly constituted authorities, including the right to employ architects, sign
contracts, take charge of the work, collect monies from the Federal Government, and
]~ay out the same, and in general to do anything and everything in respect to the said
t~roject that the City of Bre~rton might or could do in the premises.
~E IT ~L~T~{EI~ RE~OLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a warrant drawn on the current expense fnnds of
the City of Bremerton in favor of the Housing Authority of the City of Bremerton, as
a loan to the Housihg Authority of the City of Bremerton, same to be used by said
Housing Authority For the purpose of defraying initial expenses which wil] be
incurred in core-action with the said Project, same to be repaid to the City without
interest as soon es the said ttousing Authority shall receive funds from the
Government in connection with the said Project.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Eayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this first day of
Cctooer, 1941.
