WHEREAS, the Federal Security Agent of Washington, D. C. has requested the
appointment of a Fair Rent Committee, and
'~tEREAS, numerous complaints have been lodged with the City Commission
complaining of high rents to the defense workers,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton that the Mayor
appoint a committee of three citizens of Bremerton to be known as the Fair Rent
Committee whose duties shall be to investigate and adjudicate such complaints.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 27th day
of August, 1941.
