WHEREAS, the recreational facilities of the City of Bremerton have been recently
surveyed, and applications have been made to the Federal Government for financial
assistance in order to expand the recreational facilities in the City of Bremerton,
and it is considered desirable that a Recreation Commission should be appointed by
the City Commission for the purposes hereinafter stated, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of'Bremerton.that there be and
there is hereby set up and established a Recreation Commission in the City of
Bremerton, which shall consist of five citizen~s who shall be appointed by the Mayor,
subject to the approval of the City Commissionj which sald~Recreation Commission shall
be and is hereby empowered and authorized to g!ye advice and make recommendations to
the City Commission on all matters relating to public recreational facilities in the
City of Bremerton; and to assist the City Commission in connection with all. projects
relating to recreational facilities in the City of Bremerton, and particularly in
connection with applications which ha~e been made ~to the Federal Government for funds
for increasing public recreational facilities in the C~ity of Bremerton.
