~gHEREAS, the Co~mty of Kiteap, State of Washington, foreclosed for
general taxes on the following described real property, to-wit, Lots 1
and 2, Block 7, Port Orchard, Kitsap County, State of Washington, and
the said property was struck off to the said Kitsap County at the tax
foreclosure sale, there were delinquent assessments against the said
property payable to different local improvement districts in the City of
Bremerton, ~nd the City of Bremerton did pay to Kttsap County the taxes
thereon as by law provided and has now a Treas~rer's Deed to the said
property, and the ~a~d City cf Bremerton is desiro~s of selling said
pro~erty to pay the tn×es and delinquent assessments assessed against the
s~td ~"eal property,
NO:,V THERF, FORE, !:~I;~ IT ~tESOLVEI), by the City Comm~.ssion of the City of
Bremerton, that the Mayor and City Clerk thereof, be end they are hereby
authorized and directed to sell said aOove described real property to
C~ H. Oliphant and ~artha G. 011phant, his wife, for the total purchase
I'rl¢'~e of Two H~mdred ($200.00) Dollars and for that purpose to ente~ into
a c~mtract with the Said ']. H. Cllphant and Martha G. Ollphant, his wife,
for said sale in t~e name of the City of Bremerton, the said contract
t~ i~'ovide for a cash payment of $40,00, and 'the b~lance in the sum of
$160.00, payable In monthly installments of $5.00, plus interest at
seven per cent per annum, payable at the time said installments are paid,
the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay the taxes and
a~'~sessments hereafter levied, and provide that time be the essence of
the ,:~ontract, with forfeiture of moneys paid, in the event that the
p~[~chase price is not paid within the time provided therein, and also
to execute a deed in the name of the City of Bremerton in favor of
C. ~-. 0!]pbant end ~artha ~;. ~ltphant, his wife, the said deed to be
retained by the City Clerk unt!l the ful~ purchase price is paid, to-
gether with interest thereon, and to be del[vered to said p~rchaser at
suc~ t'~'.e as the said purchase price and interest are paid in f~zll~
~:,~iD by the City Commission of the ~ity of Bremerton, signed by
the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such
p~,~s~ge on the 13th day of August, 1941.
