HomeMy WebLinkAbout278 -182 RESOLUTION NO. 278 WHEREAS, Lester Walters is the Recreational Director of the City of Bremerton, and has also been appointed as Deputy City Treasurer and is in charge of the Civic Recrea- tion Center, and WHEREAS, in the operation of 'the Civic Recreation Center it is frequently necessary to make cash expenditures in order t o carry out the emtertainment programs sponsored by the City at such Center, on account of the necessity of paying Union musicians and other entertainers cash in advance, and .~ t is necessary and advisable that a revolving cash account be made available to said Walters, NOW T"EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the sum of Five Hundred and no/lOOths Dollars be made available to ~ester Walters as Recreational Director and Deputy Treasurer of the City of Bremerton, as a revolving cash account, to be advance~? ©r~ a sworn voucher drawn on the Park F~md, and the ~ty Clerk is her~.by authorized to execute an~ the City Treasurer to pay warrant drawn in said sum of ~500.00 after approval of such voucher by the City Council. ,RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THW said Recreational Director and D~p::ty Tr~asur,r be and he ~s hereby given permission to expend from such revolvin~ cash acco~nt such moneys as may be absolutely necessary in connection with the operation of the er]ter- tainmentprogram ~_. eing sponsored by the City of Bremerton at the Civic Eecreati~:n Center. BE IT FURT'IER RESOLVED that the saJ~ Recreational Director and Deputy Treasurer report monthly, or oftener, to the City Treasurer, showing the complete operation of said fund and that he make no payment whatsoever from said F~md w] thout s~curing signed receipt therefor, to be attached to and made a part of suc]~ reDorts. THER RESOLVED, that the time of filing such reports, wit~ receipts attached a sworn voucher for the amount expended shall be filed b'f said Recreationa~t [-)~rector and De.~uty City Treasurer, for the am.~]not of t~e expen,~itures made from said cash revolviug account for the purpose of re~lenishi.mg such account, ard the City Clerk and C~t~ Preasurer shall execute and pay warrants drawn for the replenishing of such account after t he approval of such voucher by the City Council.
