RESOLUTION NO. 234
WHEREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general taxes on
the following described real property, to-wit, Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block 4, First Add-
ition to Charleston, Kitsap County, State of Washington, SUBJECT to assessments in L.I.D.
170 in the sum of $96.51, plus interest, and assessments in L.I.D. 216 in the sum of
$205.00 plus interest, and the said property was struck off to the said Kitsap County at
the tax foreclosure sale, there were delinquent assessments against the said property
payable to different local improvement districts in the City of Bremerton, and the City
of Bremerton did pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereon as by law provided and Bas now a
Treasurer's Deed to the said property, and the said City of Bremerton is desirous of sell-
ing said property to pay the taxes and delinquent assessments assessed against the said
real property,
NOW EtEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, that
the Mayor and City Clerk thereof, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sell
said above described real property to ti. E. Hughes, Sr., and Clara Hughes, his wife, and
H. E. Hughes, Jr., and Viola Hughes, his wife, for the total purchase price of Three
Hundred ($300.00) Dollars and for that purpose to enter into a contract with the said
H. E. Hughes, Sr., and. Clara Hughes, hiw Sire, andH. E. Hughes, Jr., and Viola Hughes,
his wife, for said sale in the name of the City of Bremerton, the said contract to pro-
vide for a cash payment of $15.00, and the balance in the sum of $285.00, payable in
monthly installments of $5.00, plus interest at seven per cent per annum, payable at the
time said installments are paid, the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay
the taxes and assessments hereafter levied, and provide that ti~ e be the essence of the
contract, with forfeiture of moneys paid, in the event that the purchase price is not
paid within the time provided therein, and also to execute a deed in the name of the City
of Bremerton in favor of H. E. Hughes, Sr., and Clara Hughes, his wife, and H. E. Hughes,
Jr., and Viola Hughes, his wife, the said deed to be retained by the City Clerk until the
full purchase price is paid, together with interest thereon, and to be delivered to sa~d
purchaser at such time as the said purchase price and interest are paid in ~ll.
PASSEO by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 29th day of May, 1942.
