RESOLUTION NO. 227
BE IT REMEMBERED, that at a regular meeting held by the Board of City
Commissioners of the City of Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington, on the 6th day
of May, 1942, all members being present, it was moved, seconded and carried that
the City of Bremerton assign, transfer, sell and convey and quit-claim all right,
title and/or interest that the said city has, or may have, in and to that certain
real property located at 414 South Cambrian Street, Bremerton, Washington, desig-
nated as the Legion Hall, over to Bremerton Post 149, The American Legion, and
A further motion was regularly made, seconded and carried that the Mayor of
the City of Bremerton and the Clerk thereof enter into proper and suitable instru-
ments of conveyances transferring and assigning all of the city's interest in and
to the above described property over to the said Bremerton Post 149, in considera-
tion ~hat the said Bremerton Post 149 forever waives any claim it now has, or may
have, against the City of Bremerton by reason of the existing lease-hold agreement
made and entered into by and between the City of Charleston and Charleston Post
149, the American Legion, as of the 1st day of May, 1925.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that for and in consideration of ~xe sum of one
dollar and other valuable consideration, and particularly the waiver and release of
any claim of right that Bremerton Post 149, The American Legion, has, or may have,
against the City of Bremerton, Kttsap County, Washington, by reason of an existing
lease made and entered into by and between the City of Charleston and Charleston
Post 149, The American Legion, as of the 1st day of May, 1925, the said City of
Bremerton hereby assigns, transfers, conveys and quit-claims over to the said
Bremerton Post 149 all of its right, title and/or interest that it has in and to
that certain real property designated as 414 South Cmmbrtan Street, Bremerton,
Washington, commonly known as The American Legion Hall, and more particularly
described as follows:
Lots 6, 7, 8 and 9, Block 22, Plat of the Town (now city) of Charleston,
Kitsap County, Washington, together with the appurtenances thereon and
thereto,
to have and to hold forever, and the said City of Bremerton hereby relinquishes,
transfers, assigns and conveys over to the said Bremerton Post 149, The American
Legion, any and all rights that it has, or may have, to any fund now being held by
the Federal Government as purchase price of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Bremerton, and the City
Clerk thereof, be, and they hereby are, instructed to enter into proper~Instruments
of conveyance, assignment, waiver and/or release which are necessary to carry out
the terms and provisions of this resolution.
