WHFJREAS property owners in East Bremerton abutting on earth, gravel, secon~-c'!ass
streets and avenues are petitioning and requesting the City to repair and re-s,arface
said streets and avenues with a heavy oil such as MC-2 oil, and that t~..is type of
re-surface is considered sufficient to withstand heavy rains and traffic e,]d a necess-
ary improvement to such streets and avenues, and
WHEREAS the heavy vol~nnn of traffic together with large army trucks has caused
considerable damage to said streets, which will require the City Street Department to
prepare said streets and averages for resurface of Black Top damaged by Army Tr,~cks and
that it will be necessary to receive assistance from other source than the property
owners adjacent to the streets and avenues in that section of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Cormnission of the City of Bremerton hereby makes applica-
tion requesting the State ttighway Department for funds in the amount of Two Thousand
Dollars (t.$2,000.00) to be granted from the Stste Gas 'Pax Funds allocated to the City
of Bremerton, to be used for the purchase of ~.C-~ oil, and placed upon the vario~s
streets and avenues in East Bremerton.
PASSED by the City Com~ission of the City of Bremerton, signed by two of the three
City Commissioners, and attested by the City Clerk :tn authentication of s~ch passage,
this 6th day of ~ay, 1942.
