WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, pursuant to resolution dated June 18, 1941,
sold to E. B. Lent and Ethel Lent, his wife, T. C. Blomberg and ~iarian J. Blomberg,
his wife, and H. D. Lent and Irene Lent, his wife, the following described real
property:
Lots !$, 14 and 15, Block 9; Lots 2, 3, 4, 13, 14 end 15, Block 14;
and Lots 2, 3, 4, Block 17, of Charleston Tide lands, Kftsap County,
State of Washington,
and on the sslae date the said E. B. Lent, T. C. Blomberg and H. D. Lent and their
respective wives, executed a document entitled, "Agreement to re-convey property,"
under the terms of which the sa~d E. B. Lent, T. C. Blomberg and H. D. Lent end their
respective wives, agreed to re-convey said real property to the City of ~re~.~erton
upon pa~nent of the s,mm of Nine Hundred (;i~900.00) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, the sai~ real property, with other property, has been condemned and
taken by the United States of America by judgment entered in the District Court of
the Un, ted States for the Western District of Washington, Northern Divisiom, o~:
April 17, 1942, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the original sale of said real property the sai~ sale
was considered by the 0ity Com~..ission to be an outright sale, except ',n the event a
contigency should arise which woul~ make the said property necessary to the City of
Bremerton for a municipal wharf or other public purpose, and
WHEREAS, the taking of said property by the United States of America makes It
impossible for the City of Bremer~,on to utilize the real property above describe~-~ For
a municipal wharf or for other public purposes, Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton that all rights of
the C~ty of Bremerton ~mder and by virtue of that certain "Agreement to reconvey'"
heretofore entered into in and to the real property herefnabove described, be snd s~ch
rights are hereby waived end abandoned, and E. B. Lent and Ethel Lent, his wife,
T. C. Blo~berg and Marian J. Blomberg, his wife, and H. D. Lent and Irene Lent, his
wife, are hereby declared to be the owners in fee simple of sai5 real property as of
the date of taking thereof by the United States of America.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor, and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 6th day of ~lay, 1942.
