HESOLUTION NO. 212
A RESOLUTION of the City of Bremerton, Washington employing Preston,
Thorgrlmson, Turner, Horowitz and Stephan, attorneys at law, to perform legal
services for said city, and fixing their compensation therefor.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington, is contemplating the construction
of certain additions and improvements to its municipal water distribution system,
and is contemplating the issuance of its water revenue bonds in the principal sum
of $300,000 to pay part of the cost thereof; and
WHEREAS, it will be to the interest of said city to employ Preston, Thorgrlmson,
Turner, Horowitz and Stephan, attorneys at law, of Seattle, Washington, to advise
with the city officials and attorney in the matter of the preparation of the ord-
inances, resolutions and notices necessary for the purpose of the issuance of said
bonds, and also to give their legal opinion as to the validity of said bonds,
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Commission of the City of
Bremerton as follows:
Section 1. Messrs. Preston, Thorgrimson, Turner, Horowitz & Stephan, attorneys
at law, of Seattle, Washington, are hereby employed by the City of Bremerton to
perform the services set forth in the preamble of this resolution.
Section 2. Said City of Bremerton hereby agrees to pay said attorneys for said
services the sum of $450.00. Said City further agrees that said attorneys shall be
reimbursed in addition to the above described fees for any necessary out-of-pocket
expenses which they might advance.
Section 3. Said City further agrees that certified transcripts of ail necessary
proceedings and records of said city will be furnished to said attorneys at Seattle,
Washington, for their use in performing said services, and the officers of said city
hereby agree to cooperate with said attorneys and furnish all such records as
requested.
PASSED and approved by the commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of its passage, this 15th day
of April, 1942.
