WHEREAS, the Co~ty of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general
taxes on the following described real property in Kitsap County, State of Was~ington,
to-wit:
Lots 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block 14, Second Addition to Charleston, and Lot 4, Block
10, Second Addition to Charleston, Kitsap County, Washington, and the City Commission
of the City of Bremerton, on March 13, 1942, passed a resolution for sale of the
said real property, directing the City Treasurer to sell the same at public sale to
the highest and best bidder, and
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer duly offered said property for sale, pursuant to
publication of notice of sale, and N. P. Peterson and Doris E. Peterson, his wife,
were the highest and best bidders for said property and bid the sum of $79~.00 to be
paid as follows: $180.00 cash as the ~own payment and the balance, to-wit, ~$~Z$.00
to be paid in monthly installments of $~0.00 per month, plus interest at the rate of
seven per cent per ann~a, and
WHEREAS, the State of Washington desires to purchase the following described
portion of said property:
That part of Lots 2 to 6 inclusive, Block 14, Second Addition to Charleston
lying and being Northeasterly of a line drawn parallel with and 75 feet Southeasterly,
when measured at right angles, from the center line survey of Primary State Highway
No. 21, Bremerton to Kitsap Lake, Kttsap County, Washington, and has offered the
City of Bremerton and the said N. P. Peterson and Doris E. Peterson, his wife, the
sum of $375.00 therefor, and the City Commiss~.on is willing to join the said Peterson
and wife in executing a deed to the said property, providing the said purchase price
be paid direct to the City of Bremerton and applied on the contract of purchase by
and between the City of Bremerton as contract of purchase by and between the City of
Bremerton as seller and the said N. F. Peterson and wife as buyers relating to all
the real property hereinabove first described,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton
that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Bremerton a deed as grantors, in which said deed N. P. Peterson and
Doris E. Peterson, his wife shall also Join as grantors, in favor of the State of
Washington, as grantee, covering that portion of said lots 2 to 6 inclusive herein-
above described; and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to deliver
said deed to the State of Was~ington on payment of $375.00 therefor, which said sum
shall be credited on the contract between the City of Bremerton and said Peterson and
wife for the purchase of the real property in this resolution first above described,
which said contract the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Bremerton.
PASSED b~y the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 16th day of
April, 194~.
