Murphy, Captain of the Police Department of the City of Bremerton and Acting Chief of Police, has tendered in writing his resignation as a member of the police force of the City of Bremerton, effective immediately, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton that the said resignation is hereby accepted effective immediately. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Arthur N. Morken be and he is hereby appointed Acting Chief of Police of the City of Bremerton, such appointment to take effect immediately. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and.a copy of the resigna- tion of R.O.D. Murphy be forwarded to the Civil Service Commission. PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Bremerton, s~gned by the Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this 2gth day of January, 1942.
