RESOLUTION NO. 57S
WHEREAS, the election board of the County of Kitsap has certified to the City
Council the results of an election held on June 10, 1944, in Marine Drive precinct,
Kitsap County, Washington, on the question of whether or not the following described
territory should be annexed to the City of Bremorton, and
WHEREAS, the said election board has certified that 15 votes were cast in said
election of which 14 votes were for annexation and one vote against ~nexation, and
the Board of County Commissioners have certified that said proposition for annexation
did carry according to law, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the ~ity of Bremerton that the following
described territory which is contiguous to the City of Bremerton, should be annexed to
the City of Bremerton and that is is wise and expedient for the City of Bremerton to
take and annex said territory, legally described as follows:
Beginning at the interior quarter section corner of
Section 15, Township 24 N. Range I E.N.M.; thence
North to the North boundary of State Highway.No.
thence Easterly along the Northerly margin of said
State Highway No. 21 to intersect the city limits of
the City of Bremerton; thence South along said C~ty
limits to the intersection with center line of 9th
attest; thence west along center line of 9th Street
to west line of the Southeast Quarter of sa~d Section
15; thence north to point of beginning in Kitsap County,
State of Washington,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney of the City of Bremerton is hereby
ordered and directed to prepare an ordinance providing for the annexation of said
territory in due form of law.
PASSED by the City Commission of the bity of Bremerton, signed by the ~ayor,
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of said passage, this 26, day of
July, 1944.
