WHEREAS, the bids received for two (2) trucks amd two (2) Load Packers have been
duly opened, read and compared, and it appears that Crawfor Motors at Bremerton,
Washington is low bidder, (After application of subtractive excise tax numbered 1,
& 2) : and
WHEREAS, such bid is within the available funds of Project No. 45-260.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the contract for the delivery of said two
(2) trucks and two (2) Load Packers to the City of Bremerton, Washington, be and the
same is hereby awarded to Crawford Motors for the sum of $10340.18 (less subtractive
excise tax in the sum of $385.82 to be applied); such award is tentative and may be
rescinded or cancelled at any time prior to written notification to the contemplated
awardee that the award is final, and such notification is authorized upon receipt by
the Owner of appropriate data from the Regional Engineer, Federal Works Agency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor end City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute such contract as soon as Government releases to purchase this equipment are
procured. · '
PASSED by the City Council of the C~ty of Bremerton, Washington signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this
day of May, 1944.
