BE IT RESOLYE~ BY THE CITY COIPNCIL OF T}:E CITY OF BRE~RTON:
Section i~ That the public interest requires the following improvements
to be made.
Sec';:%on 2. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Brm,,~rton to order th~ improvement of
Rainier Avenue between Eleventh Street amd Thirteen~h Street by clearing,
grubbing, grading and the construction of concrete aidewalks, curbs aud
gutters
together with the doing of any and all other work in connection therewith
as may be necessary to mane such improvements a complete job, all in
accordance with plans and specifications to b~ placed on file in the office
of the City Clark in the City of Bremerton, reference to which is hereby
made for further particulars,
Section 3, The City Engineer of the City of Brem~ rton is hereby directed to
submit to the City Council a't or prior to the dat~ fixed for hearing pro-
tests to said i3.uprovements, the es'~imated cost and expense of such an im-
i~ro-~ment, and a statomunt of the proportionate amount thereof, which should
bc borne by the property within the proposed assessment district, and a
stat~:ment of the aggregate: assessed ~aluation of the real estate, exclusive
of i:.,prow.,~;en~s, within such proposed mistrict, according to the valuation
last plac~a upon it for tic purpos~ of a general taxation, together with a
dia3ram or plan showing th~:reon the lots, tracts, and parcels of land and
other property which will b~ specially benefited thereby and the estimated
amount of tho cost and exp~nse of such improvements to b~ born~> by such lot,
'~ract or parcel of ~and or other prop~.rty,
Section ~, That there shall bc assessed against that portion of the
property lying b~t~ecn the terminz of said improvement and extending back
from the marginal line of ~ach of said str~ts and alleys so improved to
tho middl~ of the block on each side thereof, which distance shall be at
l~st ninety feet from said street margin, in the mode prescribed by
S~ction l~, Chapter ~8 of tho Session Laws of the State of ~ashington for
l~ll, and S~ction 2, Chapter 165 for the Session Laws of 1915, of said
St~t~, the cost of said i:nprow~monts except such ~s may be borne by any de-
p?~rtm~nt of a~uinistration of the Unit~d $tatos Govorrm]ent and except such
,xs m~y b~ born.~ by any Department or administration of the State of' Washing-
ton or th~ United Stat~s Gov=rr~ment for r~liof or other purposes,
Section 5. The City Clor~ be and he is hereby directed to giw'e notice of
t~.o m~.to of such hearing co each owner or reputed ownor of ,~ny and all lots,
tr'~cts, or parcels of land, or other prop,~rty, specially benofi~d by the
improvement, by m:-~iling to tho owner or reputt~d owner of the property
sho~n on the t~x rolls of the County Treasurer, at the aadrsss shown thereon,
a notice setting forth the nature of the proposed improvements, tho total
osi:i,.%:.,tsd cost and thc estim,~ted b~n,sf'~ts to the particular lot, tr~xct, or
p~rcs!, .~nd tho d.~te of th~ h~aring before the City Con~nission ~t least 15
C:~4's before th..~ date fixed herein for such hearing.

S~ction 6, That Weduesde~v tho 16th d~y of January
19~6 ~ ~t 10:00 o'clock a.m. of said day b~ and the sam~ is hereby fixed
as tho date of he,ring protest against said improvom~nts by any persons
inter,stud tha~rein; and thc City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
dira~c%od to publish a copy of this resolution in the offici~l newspaper of
said city for at l~ast two successive issues, the first issue shall be ~t
least 15 days prier to the dato herein fixed for said hearing, and s~id
publication, together with the mmiling of the c~rds h~r~inabovo provided to
'~hs o~,~ners or r~put~d o~rs of the lots ~nd parcels of land included in
such lmpro%~mont as hereinbefore sot forth, shall be du~ and legal notice to
~11 concerned in said proposcd improvements.
