WHERE~M, a bulldozer belonging to the Hewitt Construction Comp-
any ~rsn into and damaged an individual shut-off fire hydrant located
at 917 Highland Avenue in the City of Bremerton, and
WHEREAS, the United Pacific Insurance Company as insurance carrier
for Hewitt Construction Company have agreed to replace said fire
hydrsmt and to pay for the cost of installation thereof;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the City Attorney of the City
.of Bremerton be and he is hereby authorized to accept payment from
the United Pacific Insurance Company in the sum of $121.29, plus tax,
~~A~ ~ the Rensselaer Valve Company of Seattle fc~ the
replacement of the above mentioned individual shut-off hydrant, to-
gerber with the additional sum of $25.00 as installation charge which
sum of $25.00 shall be turned over to the City Treasursr to be deposit-
ed in the general fund.
BE IT FURTH~ER RESOLVED that upon receiving the payments referred
to herein the City Attorney is hereby authorized to sl~ a release on
behalf of the City of Bremerton, relieving the Hewitt Construction
.~Oompany from any and all claims of damage er loss.
PASSED unanimously this 27th day of June, 1945, signed by the Mayor
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage.
