WHEREAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for gener~
taxes on the following described real property, to-wit:
South oneuhalf of Lot 13, Block 3, First Addition to Charleston,
Kitsap County, Washington,
and the said property was struck off to the said County of Kitsap at the tax fore-
closure sale, there were delinquent assessments agaiust the said property payable
to different local improvement districts in the City of Bramerton, and the City of
Bremerton did pay to Ki~sap County the taxes thereon as by law provided and has now
a Treasure'r,s deed to said property, and the said City of Bremerton is desirous of
selling said property to pay the taxes and delinquent assessments assessed ag~nst
the said real property, and
~HEREAS, the City council determined by Resolution No. 430, passed on the 21st
day of Narch, 1945, to sell said property to the highest and best bidder for cash or
terms and the said property was advertised for sale in the official city newspaper,
and Lawrence M. Fields and Dorothy M. Fields, made the highest an8 best bid, to-wit,
~he sum of $180.00, and the City Council of the City of Bremerton has accepted the
said bid ~nd desires to sell the said property to the successful bidders, now there-
fore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton that the Mayor and
City Clerk thereof, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sell said
above described property to said Lawrence M. F~elds and Dorothy M. Fields, his wife,
for the total purchase price of $180.00, and for that purpose to enter into a
contract with said Fields and wife for said sale in the n~ne of the City of
Bremerton, the said contract to provide for a cash payment of $36.00 and the balance
in the sum of $144.00, payable in monthly installments of $~.00 per month plus
interest at seven per cent per ~n~m, payable at the time said installments are paid,
the said contract to provide that the purchaser shall pay the taxes and assessments
hereafter levied, and provide that time be the essence of the contract, with for-
feiture of moneys paid, in the event that the purchase price is not paid within the
time provided therein, and ~1~o to execute a deed in the name of the City of Bremerton,
in favor of Lawrence M. Fields and Dorothy M. Fields, his wife, the said deed to be
retained by the City Clerk until the full purchase price is paid, together with
interest thereon, and to be delivered to said purchaser at such time as the said
purchase price and interest are p~id in full.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, on this 4th day of
April, 1945.
