WHF. REAS, the County of Kitsap, State of Washington, foreclosed for general taxes
on the following described reel property, to-wit:
Lot 5, Block 3, Bayview Addition to Bremerton, Kitsap County, State of
Washington,
and the said property was struck off to the said County of Kitsap at the tax fore-
closure sale, there were delinquent assessments against the said property payable to
different local improvement ~istricts in the City of Brsmerton, and the City of
Bremerton did pay to Kitsap County the taxes thereon as by ]aw provided and has now
Treasurer's Deed to sai~ property, an~ the said City of Bremerton is desirous of
selling said property to pay the taxes and delinquent assessments assessed against the
said real property, and
WHEREAS, th~ City Co~cil d~termined by Resolution No. 430, passed on the 21st
day of March, 1945, to sell said property to the highest and best bidder for cash or
terms, and the said property wes advertised for sale in the official city newspaper,
and Wallace A. Laurent and Ruth C. Laursnt, his wife, and Ray G. Reutlinger and
Estelle C. Reutl:ingsr, his wife, made the highest and b~st bid, to-wit, the sum of
~13~5.00, and the City 0o~moi! of the City of Br,merton has accepted the said bid and
desires to sell the said property to the successful bidders, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Cou~mil of the City of Bremerton that the Mayor and
City Clerk thereof, be and they are hereby authorized ~d directed to sell said abov~
d~scr]bed property to Wallace A. Laurept and Ruth C. Laurent, his wife, and Ray G.
Reutlinger and Estelle C. Reutlinger, his wife, for the total purchase price of
and for that purpose to enter into a contract with the said Laurent and wife, and said
Reutlinger and wife for sai~ sale in the name of the City of Bremerton, the said
contract to provide for a cash payment of ~{~55.OO, ~.nd the bal~ce In the sum of
~1050.O0, payable in monthly installments of ~30.00 per mon~, plus interest at seven
per cent per ann~, payable at the time said installments are paid, the said contract
to provide that the purchasers shall pay the taxes a~d assessments hereafter levied,
and provi5e that time be the essence of the contract, with forfeiture of moneys paid,
in the event that the ourchase price is not paid w~ thin the time provided therein, and
also to execute a Seed in the ~e of the City of Bremerton, in favor of ~Vallace A.
Laurent and Ruth C. Laurent and Ray G. Reutlinger an~ Estelle C. R~utling~r, his wife,
the sai~ deed to be retained by the City Clerk until the full purchase price is p~id,
together with interest thereon, and to be delivered to said purchasers at such time as
the said purchase price and interest are paid in full.
PASSED Dy the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the ~.fayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, on the 4th day of
April, 1945.
