WHEREAS, the Sanitation Department is dttmping garbage and refuse in a sanitar~
fill hoar the Hea~ of the Bay on tide land property belonging to the Water Depart-
ment, and no satisfactory method has heretofore been worked out for an accounting
as between the Ssnitation Department and the Water Department, which would fairly
allocate the cost of this opera~ion to the respective departments, and
WHEREAS, it is to the advantsge of the Water Department to have a more perman-
ent type of bulkhead installed and to have a more substantial coverage of said fill
wi th earth anm dirt on account of the fact that the ~illing of said property will
make the same available for use for re-sale,
NOW THERE,'ORE, BE I'f RESOLVED, by the City ~ouncil of Bremerton that the Ware:
Department of the City of Bremerton shall have the full duty and responsibility of
performing all work an~ labor and furnishing all materials in connection with the
sanitary fill nowbeir~g used at the ~!ead of the Bay on Water Department property~ o~
on any other sanitary fill which shall hereafter be develope¢t and used on property
belonging to the Water Department, and the Water Department shall be fal!y and ent~
ly responsible for furnishing such machinery, materials, equipment and labor, as
shall be necessary to spread or disburse garbage and refuse to cover the s s.m.e, to ~
stall bulkheads, an¢l to furnish all other work and materials incident to such sani-
tary fill opez.ations.
