WHEREAS, by bhe provisions of Ordinance No. 1590, the City of Bremerton set up
a Cummulattve Reserve Fund for Water Department improvement, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and advisable that investigation and studies be made
into the amount of water available in Kitsap and Mason Counties for future develop-
ment by the City of Bremerton, and
WHEREAS the Geological Survey of the Department of the Interior has indicated
by letter that it is willing to enter into an agreement entitled "Cooperative
Agreement for investigation of water resources", under the terms of which the said
Geological Survey and the City of Bremerton will each contribute half of the necess-
ary expense in connection with such investigation and study,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Bremerton that the ~ayor and City
Clerk be and they are authorized and Uirected to execute said Cooperative Agremment
on behalf of the City of Bremerton, in triplicate, and the City Clerk is hereby
directed to forward two signed copies to F.~. Veatch, District Engineer, Geological
Survey, ~O7 Federal Building, Tacoma ~, Washington.
BE IT FURTH~£R RESOLVED that the work contemplated by the said agreement comes
under the provisions o~ and is a Project ~mder Ordinance No. lBUO, and the City's
share of the expense thereof shall be paid for from the "Cummulative Reserve Fmn~
for ~ater Department Improvements."
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Nayor, and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage, this E~th day of
January, l~B.
