Sect,.on 1~ That ~h~ public interest requires the fotlowin~ improvsments

Sec.':%on 2. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Brm.:rton to order th~ improvement of
F~d Avenue from E. Thirteenth Street to a point 313.5 ft. North
of E. Sixteenth Street by clearing, g~xbbing, grading for, and
const~ction of 5 ft. concrete sidewalks, concrete ~urbs and gutterse
together with thc doing of any and all other work in connection therewith
as may be necessary to ma~e such improvements a complete job, all in
accordance with plans and specifications to be placed on file in the office
of the City Clerk in the City of Bremerton, reference to which is hereby
made for further particulars.
Section 3o The City Engineer of the City o£ Brem,~rton is hereby directed to
submit to the City Council az or prior to the date fixed for hearing pro-
tests to said improvements, the estimated cost and expense of such an im-
~ro;emont, and a stat~smunt of th~ proportionate amount thereof, which should
be borne by the property within the proposed assessment district, and a
stat~ment of the aggregate assessed valuation of the real estate, exclusive
of i.mprow~men!~s, wi'thin such proposed district, according to the valuation
last plac,~ upon it for tl'.~ purpos~ of a general taxation, together with a
diagram or plan showing thereon the lots, tracts, and parcels of land and
other property which will b,~ specially benefited thereby and the estimated
amount of the cost and ~xpuns~ of such improvements to b~ hornet by such lot,
~ra. ct or p.arc~.~l of' land or other prop~.~rty.
S~ction ~. That there shall bo assessed against that portion of the
prop~-~rty lying bet',~een th~ terminz of said improvement and e}~tending back
from the marg[nat line of .~ach of s~id streets and all~ys so improved to
tho middle of the block on ~ach side thereof, which dist~nc~ shall be at
lo,st ninety feet from said str~ot margin, in the mode prescribed by
Soction 1~, Chapter ~8 of the S~ssion Laws of the State of ~ashington for
l~ll, and S~ction 2, Chapt~:r 165 for the Session Laws of 19t5, of said
Stc, te, the cost of said improvements except such es m~y be borne by any de-
partmunt of administration o£ the Unit~o Stat~s Govcrrm~n't and except such
,~s m~y b~ born~ by any Dep:~rtment or ~:~dministration of th~ State of Washing-
ton or the ~nited ,qtat}s Gov~rramant for relief or other purposes.
Section 5- The City Clot?. bo and he is hereby directed to give notice of
tho date of such he~ring ~o each own-or or reputed owner of any and all lots,
tracts~ or parc-~ls of 1.~.nd, or other prop~_.rty, specially benefited by the
impro-~em=nt, by m:<iling to tho owner or reputed owner of the property as
she~m on the t~,x rolls of the County Treasurer, at the aadr~ss shown thereon,
a notice setting forth the nature of the proposed improvements, the total
:~s~i~zat~d cost ~nd thc estin~ted b~nof~ts to tho particular lot, t~ct, or
~ -c~-~ ~nd the d.:~te of th.~ hearing be£'ore the City Co~nission at least 15
c~i:'s b,~iore thc~ d~te f~ix~d h~rein for such hearing.

Section 6~ That 1~dnesda¥ the 27th d~y of ~
19_~2 at 1%:00 o'clock a.m. of s.-~id day b~ and the same is hereby fixed
as the d~t~_~ of he,ring protest against said improv.~m~nts by any persons
inter stud tha~rein; and the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
dir~:cb3d to publish a copy of this resolution in the official newspaper of
said city for at l~ast two successive issues, the first issue sh.~ll be

1~ d~}ys prior to the date herein fixed for said hearing~ and s~id
pub!ic~tion, to~ether with th~ mailing of the o'~rds h~r~inabov6 pro~i6.ed to
%he etchers or reputed o~ers of the lots ~nd p~rcels of land included in
such [~pro~emont as hereinbefore set forth, shall be due and legal notice to
