BE ET R~OLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
that the following rules and regulations be and they are hereby
adopted for the maintenance and operation of Ivy Green Cemetery:
IVY GREEN CEmeTERY
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. No burial shall be permitted without a permit from the
City Health Officer.
2. No disinterment shall be made without the authority of
the City Health Officer and the lot owner, or on court order.

3. Only one interment ~hall be made in any one grav~.
(Except urns.)
4. Soliciting for monumental or other kind of work will not
be parmitted inside the Cemetery.
5. B~mriats on Sundays and holidays, or after 5:00 PM on
weekdays, will not be permitted except as directed by the City
Health Officer in emergencies.
6. To secure a proper harmony of development, the planting
or zemov~"~'trees, shrubbery, and flowers shall 'be under the
control of the Sexton.
V. The construction of foundations for monuments, cement
walls, or markers, and the setting of all markers, shall be done
by the employees of the Cemetery and a reasonable 6harge made
therefor. ~o work of any kind to be done in permanent care section
wire,out authority of Sexton, no extensions to be placed on any
marker or headstone in perm~-~qent care section.

8. Open and closing of all graves and all labor in connection
with interments shall be. performed by Cemetery employees.

Urns containing ashes - open and close ~2.00
9. Care of graves: S~rvice includes water, trimming, and
mowing for one season, and is maintained by tho City upon request
of "the owner of the lot an5 on the following schedule:
Raise: $~.00 per grave Water, trin~aing and
mowing 2 graves $8.00
Seeding: 15~ per square foot Water, trimming
and mowing ~ graves
Water only: $2.50 per 2 grave lot, Water, trimming
and mowing 8 graves $18.00
10. Cement liners shall be required in all graves, no wooden

11. Charges for perpetual care section:
1 grave, ~ $50.00 deposit for perpetual care
25.00 f~r grave
$75.00 total cost
2 graves, t lot $100~00 deposit for perpetual care

12. Organizations and ~raternal Orders providing sections or
care thereof for members only, shall make special arrangements
therefor with the City Council.
1~. It is declared to be the policy of the City of Bremcrton
that ~11 lots sol~ in the older section of Ivy Green Cemetery be
hereafter sold under perpetual ca~e provisions with a deposit for
perpotual care of ~100.00, and that thc cost of graves shall be:
One Grave $20,00; ~two graves ~O~.O0~--
PASSED by tho City Council of th~ City of Bremcrton~ signed by
the ~ayor, and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage, this 8th day of ~ay, 1946.
