reference is hereby made as ~lly~set forth., herein ~d by which the
City Co~cil resolved to award co~racts for units A, B, C and E of
Project No.1 of a proposed sewerage system ~d sewage treatment
plants for the City of Bremerton; ~d
~E~AS, the City Co~cil further re~ lved to advise Malaspino
~d i~'~oli Comply of Seattle, low bidders for Unit D of said project,
that they were the successful bidders ~d that they would be notified
of the t~e of pipe to be used prior to the date of e~ iration of
said bids; and
W~:REAS, said resolution ~rther provided that the ~iayor ~d
City ~ be authorized to execute the appropriate contracts with
~alaspino ~d Napoli Company upon advice f~m the consulting engineer
as to t~ type of pipe to be used in said ~it; ~d
WM~AS, the City Council has now been notified bythe consulting
engineer that the reco~endation of the type of pipe to be used in

Unit D of project No.l~not been completed; ~d
~] ER~S, the advertisement for bids specified that any award to
a successful bidder would be made within thirty days of the date on
which the bids were opened; now, therefore
BE IT RES~ by the City Co~cil of the City of Bremerton
that the City of Bremerton accept the bid of ~ialaspino and N~oli
Company of Seattle, ~Vashington, for Unit D of Project No.1 ~d that
the third alternate,c$nsisting of centri~al con~rete pipe in the
s~ of $260, 255.70 be hereby approved, subject,however, to a reser-
vation that the City of Bremerton may, within twenty-one days f~m
~ final date upon which said contract may be awarded, to-wit:
October 18, 1948, speci~ the second ~ternate of Unit D of P~ject
No.1, providing for cement asbestos type of pipe; and provided

further that the contractor be directed not to order any pipe
for said unit until notified inwriting by said city, said notice
to be given on or before l~'ovember 5, 1948.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the iviayor a~d City Clerk be
authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of
Bremerton and that a certified copy of this resolution be attached
thereto.
Passed by the City Council of the Cit~ of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 13th day of October, 1948.
