WHEREAS, the Bremerton Committee on Housing Facts and
Goals has ~ecommended that the two non-dwelling buildings and
the S0 acres of land located at Sinclair park, Project WASH.
45-112 B be acquired by the City, and
~VHEREAS, Public Law $29 sets up provisions for acquisition
by this political subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the buildings and site are very suitable and needed
for use in training and maintaining personnel of the Washingtc~
National Guard;
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION 0F THE CITY
OF BREMERTON to petition the Governor of the State of Washington,
and the Secretary of the Arm~ to certif~ the surplus property con-
sisting of two (2) buildings and 80 acres of land on Sinclair Park
Project WASH. 45-112B as being suitable and needed for use in
training end maintaining the Bremerton trait of the Washington
National Guard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this disposal shall be requested
without monetary consideration,due to the fact that the Ctt~ of
Bre~erton,as a tax supported political subdivision, suffers by the
fact that there is so much government-owned tax free property in the
City that the City of Bremerton is unable to purchase said surplus
pzopert~ at the appraised values established by the Public Housing
Administration for priorit~ holders;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution shall
be sent to
