V~IEREAS, the City of Bremerton has had prepared plans and
specifications for the treatment of sewage in the City of
Bremerton and the reduction in the contamination of the waters
of Sinclair and Dyes Inlet; and
~HEREAS, it appears that the first plant for the treatment
of sewage should be constructed on the waters of Washington
Narrows in accordance wi th the recommendation of the State
Pollution Commision; and
~EREAS, William P. Harper & Company of Seattle, ~Wno have
been retained to make a financial study of the sewer system and
to recommend methods of financing, have suggested an i~mmediate
call for bids for the construction of the first treatment plant;
now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton
that the city clerk call for bids for the construction of ~he first
according to rians in t~e City ~n~i~eer~s office
sewage disposal pla6~and any other work required to place said
plant in operation, the first call for such bids to mppear on
August 6, 19~8 and such bids to be opened at ~he regular meeting
of the' City Couucil at the City Hall on September lB, 19~8, at
the hour of ll:Oc' o'clock A.N.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Brem~ton, signed
by the ~ayor mud attested by the Clerk in m~thentication of such
passage this ~Bth day of July, 19~8.
