Section 1. That the oublic interest requires the followin~ imorovements
to be made.
Section 2. That it is the intention of the city council of the City of
Bremerton to order the imorovement of
Ohio Avenue from Thirteenth Street to North end
Seventeenth Street between Ohio Avenue and High Avenue
by clearing, grubbing, grading for an~construction of 5 ft. concrete sidewalks,
concrete curbs and gutters and provi~fUg for drainage,

Section 1. That the public interes~ requires the foll~n.~] improvements

Section 2. That it is the in~ntion of the city council of the City of
Bremerton to order the imoro~ment of
Ohio Avenue from Thirteenth Street to North end
Seventeenth Street between Ohio Avenue and High Avenue
by clearing, grubbing, grading for an~ construction of 5 ft. concrete sidewalks,
concrete curbs and gutters and provi~ng for drainage,
toi~ether with the doing of any and all other work in connection therewith as may be
necessary to make .such improvements a complete job, all in accordance with plans and
specifications to be placed on file in the office of the C~ty Clerk .in the City of
Bremerton, reference to which is hereby made for eurther particulars.
Section 3. The City Engineer of the City of Bremerton is hereby directed to
submit to the City Council at or prior to the date fixed for hearing protests to said
improvements, t e estimated cost and exoense of such an improvement, and a statement'
of the proportionate amount thereof, which should be borne by the Droperty ~,~thin the
proposed assessment district, and a statement of the aggregate assessed valuation of
the real estate~ exclusive of improvements, within such proDosed district, a~cording
to the valuation last placed upon it for the purpose of a eneral taxation, together
with a diagram or plan showin thereon the lots, tracts, and parcels of land and othe~
property which will be specially benefite t thereb and th~ estimated amount of the
cost and expense of such improvements to be borne by such lot, tract or parcel of
land or ether property.
Section h. That the cost and expense! of said improvement to be borne by
said improvement district ~nd exclusive of any ~ortion borne by either the State of
%Vashin ~ton or other goverrm~ent a~ency, shall be assessed a{~a~_nst said property
included in sai~! improvement district in proportion to said area, except certain
units wherein the special benefits conferre~ upon the property are not fairly
reflected by the use of t}~e temuini and zone method, the assessment shall be made
against the property of th~ .district or any c~rtain unit ~,within the district in
accordance v~ith the special benefits it v~ill d~rive from t}~e improvement ~thout
re]ard to the ~one and termini method, and in accordance ~th the provisions of
Section 936~ of Remington's !~vised Statutes of the State of ~'~fashin'~ton, the
remainder of said cost of the improvement to be paid for by arran_~ement, if any,
with either the. State of ~?ashin?~ton or other ~overnment a~ency%
Section ~. The City Clerk be and he is hereby' directe-~ to ~ive notice of
the date of such hearin' to each owner or reputed o%vner of any and all lots~
tracts, or parcels of ~land, or other property, specially benefited by the improve-
ment, by mailing to the oYrner or reputed o~mer of the property as shown on the
tax rolls of the County Treasurer, at the ~ddress shown thereon, a notice setting
forth the nature of the proposed improvements, the t~tal estimated cost and the
estimated benefits to the particular lot~ tract or parcel, and the date of the
hearin.' before the City Comm-:ssion at least 1~ da~ before the date fixed herein
for such hearin~;.
Section 6. That Wednesday___, the 28th day of July , 1~8, at
· I,~OO o'clock A.}.~~. of sai,l day be and the same is hereby fixed as the --
date of hearin~ protest against said improvements by any persons interested there-
in; and the City 61erk be and is hereby authorized and directed to publish a copy
of this re~olution in the official newsp~per of said city for at least two sdccessive
issues, the first issue shall be at least 15 days prior to the date herein
fixed for said hearin , and said publication, to!~ether ,~,~th the mailing] of the
notices hereinabove -~rovided to the owners or reputed ovmers of the lots and parcels
of land includ:~d in such impr~ement as hereinbefor~, set forth, shall be due
and lethal notice to all concerned in said proposed improve-uents.
