Whereas the City of Bremerton, by indenture date June 10,
19&8, acquired from the United States of America, acting by
and through the Housing and Home Finance Agency, Public Housing
Administration, certain lands in Kitsap County, more particularly
described as follows; to wit:
Beginning at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter
of the Northwest Quarter of Section lB; Township 2& North;
Range 1 East; V~illamette Meridian; thence S 89° 03' 10" E,
332.10 Feet; thence N 1° 31' 12" E, 50.00 Feet to the true
point of beginning; thence S 89° 03' 10" E, 1~8.07 Feet to
the West Margin of Spruce Street; thence N ~o 58' 50" E,
283.00 Feet; thence N 89° 03' 10" W, 1~5.2~ Feet; thence
S 1° 31' 12" W, 28~.00 Feet to the true po.i.nt of beginning.
And whereas it is now the considered opinion of the members
of the City Council that said lands are not required by the City
of Bremerton for any municipal purpose and the city has received
an offer from Manette Peninsula Post Number 88, American Legion
to purchase said premises for the same price, paid by the city.
Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton that the City of Bremerton sell said premises
to Manette Peninsula Post Number 88, American Legion for and
in consideration of the su~ of Three Thousand Seven Hundred
Dollars ($3,700.00) together with certain personal property of
the value of One Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($123.00) and that
the Ymyor and City Clerk be authorized to execute and deliver a
deed describing said premises upon payment to the City Treasurer
the amount of Three Thousand Eight Hundred T~enty-Three Dollars
Passed by the City Council, signed by the Mayor, attested
by the City Clerk in authentication of ~ passage this 30th
