HomeMy WebLinkAbout621 WHEREAS, the Co~,mty Commissioners of Kitsap County have by
resolution dated October 6, 1947, declared their intention to
establish a health district as defined by Chapter 183, Section
l, Session Laws of 1945; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton having a population of more
than ~0,000 and less than 100,000, is a primary city as defined
by said laws, and, accordingly, may be included within said
health district; and
'~EREAS, the City Council of the city of Bremerton beli eves
that the health of the citizens of said city and of Kitsap
County will be better protected by the establishment of a health
district;
NOW, THEEEF0~E, BE IT ~SOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Bremerto~ that the city of Bremerton petition the dis-
trict board of health of Kitsap County to be included within
the district subject to such agreement as to the Function to be
performed for the city by the health district and the amount of
financial contributions to be made by the city to the health
district as the district board of health and the City of Bremerton
may later approve; and
BE IT FJRTHER RESOLVED that L."Hum" Kean and H~ward I. Gors~
members of the city council of the city of Bremerton be and they
are hereby designated to represent the city of Bremerton in any
negotiations with the district board of health and to act as
members of said district health board upon its organization.
