,;HEREAS the ?ederal W0r~s Agency of the United States of America
in order to preserve the safety and property of the citizens of
the cityof Bremerton has constructed within the lir~its of said city
four fire stations, two of which are described in that certain
lease dated idarch S, 19,~4 between the United Stat~s of America as
lessor and the city of Bremerton as lessee, unaer project No. '.,ash.
45-901 (.Vanette and Capitol Hill stations) and tvo of which are
described in that certain lease dated February 28, 1945 between the
United States of ~nerica as lessor and the city of Bremerton as
lessee under project No. L'ash.45-267 ( .~est ~ark and Sheridan Park
Fire Stations); and
~,~[ER~AS,in view of the cessation of hostilities and eventual
iieuidation of suchprojects as those herein described, the Federal
?~orks Age-~:cy desires to dispose of said stations, and it appears
that all of said stations would be of value to the city of Bremerton
either for the purpose for which they were 5. esi~ed, or for other
lawful municipal purposes; and
~HEREAS, the l~anette and Capitol Hill stations were constructed
and equipped at a total cost to the Federal ~,,[orks Agency of
'.~122,929.87, and the "jest par~ and Sheridan Park stations at a
total cost of each of ~.];5V,324.48 and ~:~56,341.95, respectively,
plus the cost of furniture and other equipment,which sum far exceeds
the ability of the city of Bremerton to pay, and the city of Brem-
erton is confronted with the loss of revenue as the result of de-
creasL~g population;
N0L~ TH~REF0~E BE IT _dESOL~EqD by the city council of the city of
Bremerton that the citi:~of Bremerton offer to purchase the four
fire stations, together with the miscellaneous equipment therein
at a total cost of ~50,511.00; and that the city clerk and pur-
chasing asent and the city treasurer be authorized and directed
upon acoeptance of this offer to pay said sum to the Federal
Works Agency of the United stat~s of America upon execution of

a voucher in proper fom,~ and upon delivery of a good and suffi-
cient deed conveying said premises to the city of Bremerton, in
fee simple, and of a bill of sale for said miscellaneous equip-
i~.en t,
BE IT t~TRTHER !~.t.']SOLVED that a co~y of this resolution be trans-
mitted forthwith to ?ir. L. il. Durkee, Division i~nf,ineer of the
?ederal ~,~orks Agency at Seattle.
