~EREAS the Governor of the State of Washington has pro-
claimed Saturday, July 5, 1947, a legal holiday; and
¥~EREAS it appears to the City Council of the City of
Bremerton that a proper observance of Independence Day makes
it desirable to declare a legal holiday for Saturday, July 5,
1947;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOIIfED by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton that Saturday, July 5, 1947, be and the
same is hereby declared to be a legal holiday in the City of
Bremerton, and that all offices of said city, except those
necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety,
be closed on said day.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 2nd day
of July, 1947.
