V~HEREAS, the clerical employees of the City of Bremerton
in the City Hall have expressed a desire for permission to
work longer hours from ~,londay to Friday inclusive during the
months of June, July and August and that they be allowed to
be absent from their place of employment on alternate Satur-
days; and
WHEREAS, the heads of the departments and the City Council
believe that the duties required of the clerical employees can
be fully performed if such a schedule becomes effective,without
any loss, injury or inconwe~ence to the public;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Branerton that commencing the first day of June, 194V
until the first day of September, 1947, any clerical employee
in the City Hall may be permitted to work during the hours from
9:00 A.~. to 5:00 P.M. with one-half hour for lunch; and that by
arrangements with the head of each department such employee may
be absent from his or her place of employment on alternate Satur-
days and that such employees thus be employed for a total of
37~ hours and 41~ hours in alternate weeks.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Ms, or sn~d attested
by the clerk in authenticatinn of such passage, this ~ day
of I~ay, 1947.
