WHEREAS, the Investment Board of the City of Bremerton,
at a meeting held on the 12th day of Nay, 1947, recommended
that a portion of the cash on hand in the treasury of the
city should be invested in Series "G" U.S.Savings Bonds; and
~HEREAS, there will continue to remain on hand in the
treasury cash in a sum in excess of 50% of the total cash,
plus the investments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by an oral
opinion of the City Attorney that only the Municipal Fire-
men's Pension Board has authority to invest monies of the
firemen's pension fund;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton that the investment board be authorized to
invest from the following funds the following amounts, to-wit:
Cemetery Perpetual Care $ 3,000.00
Retirement 10,000.00
1942 Water Bond Reserve 5,000.00
Manette Sewer Bond Redemption 2,000.00
in Series "G" United States Savings Bonds.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 21st day of May, 1947.
