BE iT RESOLI, ED BY i'i~E CITY COUNCIL OF T}fE CiTY OF BREMERTON:
Section i, That the public interest requires the following improvements
to h~ made,
Seci~%on 2, That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Bro~,~rton to order th~ improvement of
Rain&er Avenue between Ninth Street and Eleventh Street by clear!ns,
grubbing~ grading for, and construction of 5 ft, concrete sidewalks,
concret~ curbs and gutters~
together with thc doing of any and all other work in connection therewith
as may be necessary to ma_ce such improvements a complete job, all in
accordance with plans and specifications to b~ placed on file in the office
of 'the City Clerk in the City of Bremerton, reference to which is hereby
nmde for further particulars.
Section 3~ The City Engineer of the City of Brem,~rton is hereby directed to
submit to the City Council at or prior to the date fixed for hearing pro-
tests to said improw~ments, the estimated cost and expense of such an im-
~,ro-~msnt, and a statement of th~ proportionate amount thereof, which should
bo borne by the proporty within the proposed assessment district, and a
statement of the aggregate assessed valuation of the real estate, exclusive
of i~prow~m~nts, within such proposed mistrict, according to the valuation
last plac,~m upon it for tL~ purpos<~ of a general 'taxation, together with a
diagram or plan showing tha~r~on 'the lots, tracts, and parcels of land and
othcr property which will b~ specially benefited thereby and the estimated
~mount of tho cost and ~xp~nsc of such improvements to bo born~ ~y such lot,
tract or parcel of ~and or other prop~.rty.
Section ~ That there shall bo assessed against that portion of the
prop~rty lying b~t,~eon the termin~ of said improvement and extending back
from the marg'~nal line of ~ach of said streets and alleys so improved to
the middle of the block on e~ch side thereof, which distained, shall be at
l~st ninety fe~t from said streot margin, in the mode prescribed by
Soction lp, Cho~pter y$ of the S~ssion Laws of the State of ~,'ashington for
1911, and S.~.ction 2, Chapter 16~ for the Session Laws of 19t5, of said
St-=t~., the cosy of s~id improvements excerpt such as m~y bo borne by any de-
partmont of a~h~inistration of the Unit~ Stat~s Govcrrm~ent and except such
.~s m~y b~ born~ by any Dop~rtment or ~dministration of th~ St:xte of Washing-
ton or the United St~t ~s Govurr~mcnt for r~liof or othe~ purposes.

t~e date of such heat'inS ~o each owner or reputed owner of ~ny and all lots,
trivets, or parcels of land, or other property, specially benofitod by the
i.~Fro~om~nt, by m~ilin~] to tho owner or roput~d owner of the property as
sho~,'n on th~ t~x rolls of uhe County Tree, surer, at the amdross shown thereon,
a r, eticc s~tting forth the nature of tho proposed improvements, the total
.~si~i~..t~d cost ~nd thc estimat.~.'d benefits to th~ particular lot, t~ct, or
p,rc~!, ~.nd thc d.~te of th: h~aring before the City Corm~ission ~t least 15

Section 6. That ][~d~esd~v tho 11t~ d~.~y of June

intertwisted th~rein; and th~ City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
directed to publish a copy of this resolution in th~ offici~l n~wapap~r of
said c~by for ~t l~ast two succ~ssi~ issues, the first issue shall be at
least 15 days prior to the dat~ h~r~in fixed for said h~aring, and said
publication, to~ether with th~ mailing of the o~rds h~r~inabo~ pro~ided to
thc owners or reputed o~ers of th~ lots ~nd parcels of land included in
such i~provemont as hereinbefore set forth, shall be due and legal notice to
~.~tl concerned in said proposed improvements.
