did at a meeting held on t!r~e 12th day of idarch, 1947, conclude
that a portion of the cash on t~nd in the treasury of the City
should be (nv~sted in United States Gover~ent Bomds; ~d
L~EZ~[~]AS, the conclusion of said Board of Investment was
based u'oom the receipt by the oit~? of funds in the sum of
46~,350.35 fro~ the State Development E~oard and said ~.nds
have now been received by the city; and
~'~ E-~,.~AS, there will continue to remain on hand in the
treasury cast~ in a st~ in excess of 50)~ of the total deposits
~n the treasur]~;
NOW THE~EFORE BE IT RESOL~ by the Citif Council that the
','~oard of Investment be authorized to i~vest from the following
funds the following amours to-wit:
General ~und ~200,000.00
Street Fund 100,000.00
uar Lic~uor Tax F~d 35,000.00
i.[otor Vehicle Excise Tax Fund 25,000.00
in United States Gover~nent Bonds.
