9f Bre~erten the site of thc for~er housing project knom and desig~ted as
Anderson Cove, WAS~--~SLll~ a~d said site with the i~prove~ants there~n are
pres~atly available for p~rchase by the City and,
WHEal. Aa, The City Council deea~ ~ site as necessary and suitable for
goneral ~miciPal purposes and,
~E~EAS, The United States of A~erica by and through its Public Housing
Administration has agreed to sell and convey said site with i~Prove~eats to
the City. of Bre~erton in consideration of the a~a of thirty thousand dollars
(~30,0OOeO0) which su~ is far less than the actual value of said' pre~isee,
NO~, T~EREFORE BE IT EESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bree~rton
that the City acquire by pur~.hase frc~ the United States ~aid project site for
the su~ of thirty thousand dollars ($30~00Oe00) to be paid fr~ said cu~-lative
reserve fund for general city structures and that the City Clerk and City
Treasurer be authorized and directed to pay said su~ to the United States of
A~eriea up~a receipt of an adequate conveyance of said prea~seo.
BE IT ~ F~mOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to
execute the proposed Sales contrast dated A~gust IV, I949~ providing for the
~ethod and mn~er of pay~en% of ~ purchase prices
